Living in Surrender
January 89
your castle walls have fallen, but you are not crying
crying "I don't love this castle anyway" as the people wander through
you say "Welcome"
I don't want to sleep with you, because you're only hard to talk to
if your nation flies the white flag, your nation's flag will never fall
I've seen the white flag fly over so many nations
living in surrender, bragging that they've never lost a war
raise your walls, raise your armies
let your armies raise your standards on your walls
you won't think your castle worth defending
like a border 'til your castle is your own
and as long as I think you couldn't keep me out of your castle
if you wanted to you'll stay in there alone
crying "I don't love this castle anyway" as the people wander through
you say "Welcome"
I don't want to sleep with you, because you're only hard to talk to
if your nation flies the white flag, your nation's flag will never fall
I've seen the white flag fly over so many nations
living in surrender, bragging that they've never lost a war
raise your walls, raise your armies
let your armies raise your standards on your walls
you won't think your castle worth defending
like a border 'til your castle is your own
and as long as I think you couldn't keep me out of your castle
if you wanted to you'll stay in there alone
